2D ANIMATION | 2 MINUTES
A 2D RIGGED ANIMATED SHORT FILM TO PROMOTE DONATIONS AND SPONSORSHIPS TO A CHARITY ORGANIZATION.
THIS SHORT FILM WAS 2 MINUTES LONG, AND COMPRISED OF TEN ANIMATORS AND COMPOSITORS, WORKING ON THIS OVER THE COURSE OF 2 MONTHS.
2D BG PAINT TEAM: LIZ DENN, LAURA CORREAL, LUCY GILLESPIE
A final lineup of all the characters for the short film, including background characters. Each character was fully rigged by Tae Joon Ahn, and designed by Jeremy Caradelli.
ALI
The story follows Ali, a young boy whose small donation is shown to have a rippling effect on people and communities across the globe.
The character was fully rigged in 2 weeks, including poses, expressions, hand poses, and props ranging from his bag, candy bars, money, and candy boxes.
THE BIRD
The Bird featured in the short film, as the mascot of the organization come to life. The bird flies past many characters on screen and represents how Ali's donation changes their community.
This bird was rigged in 2 weeks, and included an additional week for the creation of custom 2D FX, that was puppeted on the bird as well, to avoid any frame-by-frame animation for the quick turn around times.
